**About our facility**

Uniting Garden Suburb has 3 separate households, each with between 25-30 residents. This includes a secure household for people living with dementia or mental health illness. Your Uniting Homemaker ensures that the community is thriving and doing things that are meaningful and enjoyable.

**What you’ll be doing in this role**

As a Carer for Hotel services support, you’ll provide quality, timely and effective cleaning to residents living in our aged care home, to help support their independence and improve their quality of life.

This is a permanent part time position offering 60 hours per fortnight working morning shifts across weekdays including some weekends.

**Your care work may include**:

- Providing support with household activities such as catering, cleaning and laundry making their dignity and independence a top priority
- Paying attention to personal safety and risk management for you and our residents by using appropriate manual handling techniques and food safety
- Supporting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.

**Who we’re looking for**
- You’ll have previous experience in similar position (catering / kitchenhand, cleaning or laundry services) or any other community care
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
