**About the role**
Embrace Community Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis in Charlestown NSW, 2290. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing quality care and support to individuals with diverse needs, empowering them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Assisting clients with their daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Providing social and emotional support, engaging clients in recreational and leisure activities
- Advocating for clients’ rights and ensuring their safety and wellbeing
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised support plans
- Maintaining accurate client records and documentation
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements

**What we’re looking for**
- Relevant experience in the aged care or disability support sector, or a demonstrated passion for working with people with diverse needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with clients
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to promoting the independence and wellbeing of clients
- A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and industry standards (desirable)
