**Hours**:This is a part-time position (0.6FTE)

**Location**:Edinburgh North

**About the Role**:
The Youth Peer Practitioner will work as part of the headspace Primary Platform Service. The Peer Practitioner will utilize their personal and collective experience of mental health challenges and recovery to engage with the clients of the headspace Edinburgh North Primary Service and their families when applicable. The Peer Practitioner will draw from a strengths-based, recovery orientated service of care and act as a role model towards recovery for people experiencing mental health challenges. In addition, the Peer Practitioner will work collaboratively with headspace Primary and wider youth Services portfolio staff in the provision of care.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment;Personal experience of being a consumer accessing mental health services

**Qualification and Other Requirements**:

- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent or willingness to obtain
