An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our Inner North East Community Outpatient Team at Austin Health Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS).

The Inner North East Community Outpatient Team is committed to addressing mental health needs of young people up to the age of 18 years living in Banyule, Nillumbik, Darebin, Boroondara and Yarra. We are a large, friendly and inclusive team who pride ourselves on being holistic in our approach to supporting these young people and their families/carers. If you feel that you can contribute to supporting young people and this team with your knowledge and skills in mental health assessment and therapy, we would love to hear from you.

Summary of position requirements
- Provide direct service in the clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and families utilizing CYMHS treatment modalities. This may include: general case-management; individual, parenting, family and group therapy; single-session intervention; family therapy for eating disorders; health promotion and other professional development/capacity building activities.
- To provide secondary consultation to primary and other specialist service providers on behalf of the services
- To work well within a multi-disciplinary team service model.
- To participate in team quality improvement initiatives, departmental research and evaluation activities and to fill other portfolio responsibilities on behalf of the team and department as may be required.
