**Description**:
Shoal Bay Country Club is recruiting Kitchen Hands for the upcoming summer period. Bring your A-game and opportunities may extend beyond summer. The role of Kitchen Hand is not for the faint-hearted; you are the back-bone of behind-the-scenes operations of the kitchen, providing support to our chefs and cooks across 4 high volume, fast-paced kitchens.
**Responsibilities will include**:
Maintaining cleanliness across the kitchens including washing, sanitizing and organising kitchen equipment, dishes and utensils
Regularly cleaning food prep areas, floors and surfaces to ensure a safe and orderly kitchen environment
Receive, unpack and store incoming kitchen supplies in designated areas
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of food being prepared and served
Supporting the chefs and cooks to ensure they have tools supplies as required
**Successful applicants will need**:
To be physically strong and able to be on their feet for up to 6hr long shifts
Basic understanding of kitchen operations and hygiene practices
To be able to take direction and follow kitchen process and procedures
Good communication skills and ability to work well with a kitchen team
