How you will make an impact

As the Business Manager, Oncology Research, you will be responsible for running the business of research in Medical Oncology. This includes designing and managing processes involved in oncology at Cabrini and reviewing and approving Clinical Trial Research Agreements and trial budgets. Position will work closely with Cabrini legal team, the Team Manager of Oncology Research and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the implementation of clinical trials carried out by the Medical Oncology Department of Cabrini Research- Undertaking the review and approval of Clinical Trial Research Agreements and trial budgets- Processing of internal and external service invoices, billing of study level services and processing of trial participant claims in conjunction with Cancer Trial Australia, Cabrini finance, accounts and patient services teams- Monitoring all income and expenses within the Department and working closely with Cabrini Finance and the Cabrini Foundation to reconcile these- Providing monthly financial and activity reports to the Cabrini Research management group- Identifying and recommending trial unit improvement opportunities to the Director of Infrastructure, including development of Standard Operating Procedures- Liaising with Cabrini Health services involved in clinical research- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required

You will have

Along with your clinical trial experience and undergraduate or Masters degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. biomedicine, science etc), you will have the following:
- At least five years' experience in an oncology/haematology clinical trial research unit with at least two years in a team leading or trials management capacity- Proven skills in managing a small to medium clinical trials team and delivering on excellent performance outcomes- Demonstrated ability to work with others within and outside of the Medical Oncology Department in a collaborative and consultative way to build long term relationships with shared responsibility of success- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a complex environment- Capable of working independently and demonstrating initiative to improve business operations- Evidence of excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads within a regulated environment
