Case Worker

**The Role**

The Residential Care and Transition Services Team currently have a Permanent Full-Time vacancy for a Case Worker SILP (Supported Independent Living Program) to join the Mercy Community team based in Zillmere. As a Case Worker SILP in Transition Services, you will be responsible for the effective coordination of every phase of casework for young people accessing the Supported Independent Living Program (SILP) with a view to support highly vulnerable young people to reach their individual goals and independence.

This position offers a competitive salary of $77,578 - $83,486 plus superannuation (dependent on qualifications and experience). You will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits (more information below).

**To be eligible for this position you will require**:

- 3- or 4-year tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline.
- Demonstrated practice experience in providing high-level services for young people in and out of home-care settings.
- Provide a clear, expressed understanding of the complex challenges facing families in contemporary society.
- Be available to provide rostered after hours on-call support.
- Evidence of current vaccination against Whooping Cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- You must hold a current Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or Open Driver’s License.
- You must hold a positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and be able to obtain a positive Police Check and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
