**About the Role**

The Hospital Nurse Coordinator role is a pivotal to the safe management of Maroondah Hospital across 24 hours.

Are you a motivated professional senior nurse with relevant experience in managing a range of issues for example staffing, codes, and safety of staff and patients? If so, this role may be just what you are looking for.

This position requires well-developed nursing leadership including outstanding communication, excellent problem solving and the ability to work well within multidisciplinary teams.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Post Graduate qualifications in a relevant clinical area and or/ Health Care Management
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work both within a multi-disciplinary team, but also as an autonomous practitioner when required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Recent experience in a similar role or managerial experience at a senior nursing level within an Acute Hospital setting
- Well developed organisational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to effectively manage staffing resources within budget whilst ensuring all care standards are maintained
- An ability to be able to align services and resources to meet the changing needs of our communities
- Proven record of managing difficult and at times challenging situations
- The flexibility to work a 7-day rotational roster
- Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the _Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice)_. Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment._
