Responsibilities will include, open close of store, till close and balancing, handling of cash, processing of orders, banking, reconciliation of all discrepancies, and most of all retail sales, putting the customer first.

This position will require weekend shifts and public holidays shifts

We are a retail Lotto, News Agent, tobacconist established for over 6 years that prides itself in great customer service and efficient speedy service

**About the role**

You will be a great communicator and leader with strong product knowledge of the retail & lotto & tobacco industry.

Capable of stock ordering and entering into stock control.

With excellent customer service skills and attention to detail and putting the customer as your first priority

You will be able to multi task and process orders to a process and follow set procedures.

You will be able to work Independently, open and close shop.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- The day to day operational matters in running and presenting the store
- ensure the store meets and exceeds Quality Care standards.
- Ensure adequate stock levels are always available;
- Ensure that stock and fixture price marking and ticketing is of the required standard;
- Sales of stock, Gift lines, Lotto scratchy's, Tobacco.
- maintaining a safe and clean environment for staff and customers;
- A flair for visual merchandising and creating an inviting product focused environment.
- engagement with your local community.
- Relevant Retail experience.
- A proven history of providing excellent customer service with a high level of integrity.
- Great communication skills, written and verbal.
- Motivation of self

**Skills and experience**
- Retail and Point of Sale experience
- Demonstrated sales experience
- Outstanding communication skills as well as a high standard of personal presentation
- Customer service with a smile and a priority
- A pro-active and enthusiastic approach to work
- Flexibility with regard to your availability (weekday & weekend & public holiday work applicable)
- Competent in basic administration tasks
- Have MS Excel skills
- Have current Drivers license
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience In Retail, Lotto, Tobacco, greatly desired

Training will be provided

**Salary**: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 2 years (required)
- Tobbaconist: 1 year (preferred)
- lotto sales: 1 year (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
