Before and After School Hours Care Coordinator

We are looking for a visionary Patch Leader (Coordinator) and Patch Educator (Assistant) to run an Outside School Care Program within the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. This OSHC program will be providing Before and After School Care.

For this program we are looking for Educators who are community minded, and ready to listen to children's VOICE. Communication is the key for these roles, the Patch Leader & Patch Educator will need to be approachable & visible within the school community, and they will offer a calm approach to GROW relationships with children and the school community.

The Patch Leader (Coordinator) will be employed on a part time basis with a minimum of 30 hours a week and the Patch Educator (Assistant) will be employed on a part time basis with a minimum of 15 hours a week, offering quality opportunity to focus on planning and embedding children's VOICE in all that we do during the School Term.

- Patch Leader_

The Patch Leader (Coordinator) is one of significant importance to Our Patch with a commitment to safeguarding children. They are also responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Before and After School Care Program to ensure practises are embedded to operate in line with our GROW Values and brand promises.

The Patch Leader demonstrates passion and drive, leading a team of Patch Educators to ensure the voice of every child is recognised, provide quality offerings, and build relationships with children, families, schools, and communities.
- Guide children’s learning and development
- Mentor Educators with curriculum direction
- Maintain enrolment and medical compliance
- Integrate with the school community
- Engage with families, and school community and uphold the values of Our Patch
- Be the Responsible Person & Educational Leader as recognised within the Education and Care Law and Regulations
- Manage the governance and leadership of Our Patch offerings
- Patch Educator_

Patch Educators (Assistant) will support the Patch Leader (Coordinator) to design and deliver an offering based on children’s voices. Together, each Patch team will ensure that each patch is compliant, meets/exceeds the National Quality Framework and most importantly keep children safe at all times.

You will need:

- Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent (or working towards/willing to enrol)
- Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR Certificates (or willing to obtain)
- Previous Childcare Experience (recommended)
- Available to work Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 9.00am and 3:00pm to 6:00pm
