**The Role**

As a Senior Explosive Ordnance Engineering Manager, reporting to the Land Explosive Ordnance System Program Office (LEOSPO) Director with a strong connection to the broader IPT Team, working in Explosive Material Branch (EMB) means no two days will be the same. You will be supported by LEOSPOs Chief Engineer and work with other professionals to manage a specified family of guided weapons and explosive ordnance products used by the Australian Defence Force.

You will spend your days:

- investigating, analysing and reporting on engineering concepts and risks;
- planning and delivering critical engineering activities;
- providing advice to stakeholders;
- mentoring junior members; and
- enabling good inventory decisions with quality and timely engineering advice.

We currently have two vacancies that can be based in either Canberra ACT or Penrith NSW. We will also be establishing a merit list for future vacancies in EMB.

LEOSPO is an integral part of Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB) which is part of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).

LEOSPO is made up of various disciplines (including engineering, project management, commercial, logistics, and administrative services). We are located in Canberra and Penrith and our focus is to acquire and sustain guided weapons and munitions for the Army and wider Australian Defence Force.

EMB is a group of approximately 560 dedicated employees. EMB partners with domestic and international industry to deliver materiel capability to Defence, managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities to support the ADF.
