Haynes is currently seeking Workshop Diesel Fitters to join our team for a Permanent Position to commence ASAP.
**About the Job**:
- To perform a full range of mechanical fitting and hydraulic duties on a wide range of equipment to meet specified job requirements as scheduled by the Workshop Supervisor or yourself.
- While the majority of the work will be performed on site, this role is occasionally required to work on the customer’s premises as required
- Monday to Friday
- Permanent position - Located in Rydalmere
**Requirements**:
- Driver's license and reliable transport.
- Trade qualification in one associated mechanical, automotive, vehicle body building or metal trades environment
- Forklift Ticket - advantage
- Truck Licence - advantage (MR, HR)
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical.
- Fitting/Turning/Welding/Boilermaking/Fabrication/Hydraulics Engineering
- Basic understanding of transport equipment. ie cranes, tippers, tail lifts, rail.
- Mig welding (Advantageous)
- Fabrication skills (Advantageous)
**Responsibilities**:
- A full range of mechanical fitting and hydraulic duties on a wide range of equipment.
- Installation of ancillary equipment associated with installations
- Completed each job within the specified job requirements and standard repair procedures, including time and cost constraints and completion deadlines.
- Carry out all work to a high standard.
- Complete timecards, service reports, parts requisitions and returns and expense reimbursements for all service jobs accurately and on time.
- Carry out activities efficiently with minimum lost time between jobs.
- Advise Workshop Supervisor or Manager of any potential problems, delays or variances.
- Actively contribute to the team performance by supporting other team members through sharing knowledge, skill and technical advice
- Attend team tools box meetings
