This position attracts a three point allowance of $1,092.23 per fortnight.

St Bede’s Catholic College, in the recently established suburb of Chisholm, is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school that is part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle. The College opened in 2018 and will eventually cater for 1,100 students in Years 7 to 12. Currently, the College has approximately 850 Year 7-12 students, with the first Year 12 cohort having recently graduated.

The key components that drive the development of the school are Courage, Knowledge, Community and Faith. These components align to the four domains of the College’s Strategic Plan - Catholic Formation and Mission, Learning and Teaching, Leadership, Wellbeing and Partnerships.

The purpose of this role is to:

- Oversight of all curriculum organisation matters.
- Working closely with the Assistant Principal (Learning and Teaching) to ensure the smooth management of all matters pertaining to curriculum.
- Maintain currency of assessment - updating on systems as necessary and ensuring compliance with NESA & CSO.

The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes. The teacher will acknowledge and agree to the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
- A deep understanding of the NSW Curriculum Framework, including the Australian Curriculum and the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabuses.
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Capacity to learn and utilise relevant school systems and other platforms.
- An understanding of contemporary, evidence-informed practices and policies related to teaching and learning and student wellbeing.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- At least five years teaching experience (Desirable)

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum qualifications as a four year trained teacher
- Active NESA Accreditation
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
- Completion of anaphylaxis training

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
