**About the role...**

The Admissions Officer is an integral position that will support the management team in the assessment of future residents and clients for all the MiCare Services.

The successful incumbent will assist older persons by providing information and advice regarding accessing residential, community or another appropriate service.

The key responsibilities of the role consist of establishing an effective system for admissions, familiarity with funding sources, processing referrals, fostering and developing community links, weekly reports, conducting tours and liaising with government departments. Your experience in a similar role advantageous.

You will be self-motivated with a flexible, caring and patient attitude. You will have an ability to work in a professional and proficient manner.

**Qualifications**
- A qualification relevant to the role and function of this position
- A current Victoria Drivers license in mandatory

**Skills**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of aged care services and legislation
- Understanding of the ageing process
- Demonstrated knowledge of case management practice.
- Working understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements.
- The ability to complete primary client assessment for aged care services
- The ability to community effectively with prospective residents and relevant persons.
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to advocate on behalf of a resident
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and staff
- Previous experience in administration/ accounting capacity in a residential service preferred
- Experience in working with Accreditation Standards and funding guidelines advantageous
- Demonstrated computer skills including accuracy and numeric skills preferred
- Ability to speak Dutch and/or multilingual desirable

**A police check with no disclosable outcome, medicare evidence of current influenza and COVID-19 vaccination, including dose 3 is required by MiCare for this position.**

**A commitment to work exclusively with MiCare Residential Aged Care facility as your only employer during COVID-19 will be highly regarded.**
