Alfabs Mining is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager for an Immediate start to lead the development and operations of a new electrical workshop. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for managing electrical projects, overseeing compliance with safety and quality standards, and ensuring timely delivery of overhaul and repair scopes. The Electrical Manager will lead a team of technicians, develop budgets, coordinate with mechanical teams, and liaise with clients to meet project requirements. The role also involves commissioning, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of electrical systems on mining equipment in line with AS/NZS 3800 standards. A strong background in mining equipment, team development, and operational excellence is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage overhaul and post-hire repair scopes pertaining to major projects and electrical
- Schedule projects in conjunction with mechanical rebuild scopes and the Mining team
- Develop accurate costings and budgets for all electrical scopes, communicating them to management
- Perform and schedule performance checks, machine condition assessments and maintenance inspections
- Champion a safety-first culture across the Mining Team. Uphold a safe and healthy workplace, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, relevant laws, regulations, and workplace standards.
- Lead a team of electrical technicians and foster a positive work environment
- Ensure projects are completed on time, and manage client expectations
- Maintain accountability of the Electrical requirements of projects and associated site work for Alfabs Mining.

**Experience and Skills**:

- 5+ Years experience working with mining equipment
- Strong knowledge of mining equipment and machinery, including their maintenance, diagnostics, and repair processes.
- Proven experience working with OEMs, suppliers, and clients in a mining or industrial setting, especially with large-scale equipment.
- Hands-on experience with equipment safety standards, compliance management, and environmental regulations specific to the mining and heavy machinery sectors.
- Experience in troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and repairs of electrical components in mining equipment
- Strong Competency using Microsoft Suite
- Proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liase with team members, clients, suppliers and senior managers
