**Chinese speaking Personal Care Worker at Aged Care in Sunnybank Hills QLD**

To provide high-quality, safe, and timely contemporary personal care to residents, including aiding with daily living activities based on their unique needs. A Personal Care Assistant / Assistant in Nursing plays a key role in assisting residents in maintaining their independence and living with dignity, self-determination, and comfort as they age.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Assisting the resident with self-care needs, assisting with safe mobility and transfers, and completing documentation are three critical aspects of this function. Under the supervision of the Supervisor in Charge, all duties must be completed in compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards.

**Essential**:

- Proven expertise and experience in personal care, preferably in an aged care setting.
- Proven capacity to deliver high-quality, consumer-directed modern aged care.
- Proven ability to deliver conscientious, skilled, safe, perceptive, caring, compassionate, empowering, and timely care.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation.
- Good writing and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team as well as alone when necessary.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in the use of technology including computers, or the willingness and ability to learn.
- Proficiency in English, Mandarin/Cantonese.

**Desirable**:

- Sound knowledge of AN-ACC.
- Experience and/or training working with people with dementia.
- Experience and/or training in palliative care.

**Essential**:

- Certificate III in Individual Support (aged care) or equivalent qualification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certificate.

**Desirable**:

- Medication administration competent.
