**Things you will do**

As a casual Gym Instructor, you will establish a safe workout environment, maintaining all regulatory requirements, while providing outstanding customer service.

You will be very experienced in all operations of a Fitness Centre, including customer service, writing, and delivering outstanding exercise programs, individual to large group training, equipment cleaning and maintenance, and being a versatile team player contributing to the DRLC team and community. You will communicate effectively with the public and control large numbers of people in a manner to ensure compliance with regulations and to enhance the service image of Council.

**The successful applicant will require**:

- Previous experience as a Gym Instructor/Personal Trainer/Group Exercise Instructor.
- Certificate III and IV in Fitness or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of Work Health and Safety and quality and environmental requirements relating to the Fitness industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and productively within an organisation and build relationships with both patrons and team members.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to provide good customer service.
- Previous experience in membership sales.
- Ability to work under limited supervision and to demonstrate initiative when required.
- Ability to respond to changes in work instructions and learn new skills.
- Current CPR.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Current Fitness Industry Registration.
- NSW Working with Children Clearance, as per the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012.
