What does the job look like?
We are looking for a proactive Safety & Compliance Manager to partner with operational teams across multiple sites in Queensland. Reporting directly to the National Safety & Compliance Manager, this independent role is accountable for lifting safety performance and compliance standards, driving continuous improvement and supporting our Vision Zero commitment. The position operates Monday-Friday with flexibility to align with site activities.
- Drive a positive safety and compliance culture across multiple operational sites.
- Collect, analyse, and report on safety and compliance data to site and senior management.
- Facilitate and participate in safety committee meetings and regular workplace inspections.
- Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion of actions and continuous improvement.
- Promote and uphold Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and customer reporting standards.
- Engage with operational teams to encourage constructive feedback, process improvement, and a collaborative approach to safety
Are you the one?
- You hold at least a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or Compliance (a tertiary qualification in OHS or a related field is highly regarded).
- You bring a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a safety or compliance role, ideally within transport, logistics, or a similar operational environment.
- You are experienced in conducting incident investigations and audits, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- You are skilled at influencing others and encouraging a collaborative approach to safety and compliance.
- You are comfortable using digital tools and systems to manage data, reporting, and training records.
- You demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a commitment to upholding company values in everything you do
