We are looking for female support workers for our client in Toowoomba.

Immediate start

Support days required:
Monday to Sunday for ongoing night shifts.

Information regarding client

Schizophrenia disorder, severe depression, severe anxiety, Acquired brain injury. Can not read but can spell.
sh can talk loudly when frustrated. Works well with support workers who have experience in mental illnesses such as borderline personality disorder and multiple personality disorder. Care workers are her only interactions. As client can't reading things it gives him anxiety she requires a support worker to assist her to read signs and explain information to him.

Behaviours that she can display:
Can talk loudly when frustrated

Overshares information and memories of her psychosis

She tends to offer gifts and wants to invite support workers to eat out.

She can manipulate conversations, so requires someone who can redirect his behaviours

About the worker:
Must be calm and collected

Must have experience with mental illness, she works well with support workers who understand mental illness.

Someone who can set boundaries and redirect her and redivert any inappropriate conversations

Someone who doesn’t cancel all the time. She likes someone who is punctual

Someone who is active and will do the activities with her. She doesn’t like it when workers just sit on the bench and watch,
Someone over 40years and matured.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Travel reimbursement

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- In support mental health client: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First aid and CPR (preferred)
- Yellow card and Blue card (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (preferred)
