We are looking for an experience Irrigation Fitter to operate and maintain irrigation systems for a local council.

**Duties include**:

- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs of irrigation systems
- Program irrigation controllers to meet operational requirements
- Modify current systems and install new irrigation systems
- Operate small plant / machinery
- Liaise & work with supervisors and other City Service units
- Provide work reports
- Report immediately any field conditions that could pose as a risk to public or sporting groups

**Requirements**:

- Experience in commercial irrigation systems operational & maintenance
- Proven communication skills
- Basic literacy & numeracy skills
- Ability to work independently & as part of a team
- Capable of manual labour
- C Class vehicle licence
- National Police Clearance under 6 months
- A positive, proactive approach to change & a willingness to work in any service unit across the City should it be required
- Knowledge of OH&S including workplace hazard identification in parks & reserves.
