As a Care Worker in aged care, you will be expected to perform a mix of tasks, and responsible for a range of key direct care activities including providing compassionate care to the elderly by assisting them with daily living activities and personal tasks. Other duties inherent in the role include:

- Assisting with feeding, showering, dressing and administering medications
- Serving meals and drinks according to individual dietary requirements
- Tidying and cleaning, including sanitising activities within scope of role
- Engaging with family members to offer observations, instructions and updates
- Assisting with mobility using mechanical aides as required
- Providing social and conversational support ensuring residents emotional and physical wellbeing is observed
- Following health and safety guidelines always
- Responding to general emergencies as directed by the nurse
- Palliative care including complex pain management as directed by the nurse
- Implementing infection prevention and control practices always
- Incident response, reporting, and review in accordance with legislative guidelines
- other duties as required from time to time

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midland WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Aged care: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
