About the Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver high quality training staff to promote skill and capability development with a focus on consumercentred care, providing high quality service delivery in line with all legislative and organisational requirements and promote skill and capability development. The Clinical Educator role is critical to ensuring that Baptcare’s employees deliver outstanding customer care that is current and bound by industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify Baptcare’s clinical training needs, employing adult learning principles to design, deliver and evaluate fit-for-purpose training programs and resources, in conjunction with the Clinical Education Manager
Deliver education and clinical guidance for all relevant staff to enable the development of evidence-based knowledge and performance skills, aligned with the employee’s scope of practice and targeted learning outcomes
Undertake competency assessments, monitor progress, and provide feedback, to both the learner and their manager, pertaining to educational achievement or individual competency needs
Engage in reflective practice to improve teaching and nursing practice outcomes, participating in the review of clinical policy and procedure development
Support the Clinical Education Manager to implement processes, systems and frameworks that align with best practices and National Aged Care Standards
Key Selection Criteria
Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in the provision of clinically relevant education
Well-developed facilitation and training skills, and commitment to a culture of ongoing learning
Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, deliver, and review and validate training programs and educational outcomes
High-level knowledge of Aged Care standards and legislation
Agile leadership style, including well-developed consultation and influencing skills
Alignment and commitment to Baptcare’s Mission, Vision, and Values
