About the Role

Service Stream’sTelecommunications division is currently seeking a Construction Supervisor to join our growing company. You will be Responsible for Providing direct supervision to subcontractors and internal work crews to ensure all field work activity is conducted at each site in a safe and effective manner.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Parramatta, North Sydney

Reporting Line: Project Director

Key Responsibilities

Some key responsibilities for this role includes but not limited to:

- Ensure Service Stream’s safety processes and procedures are adhered to.
- Supervise external subcontractors to ensure compliance to company safety, quality and contractual standards
- Monitor the ongoing performance of subcontractors
- Work closely with Project Engineers to coordinate start dates, site inductions, inspections, and material delivery to sites
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders
- Conduct Field Safety, Environmental and Quality Control audits
- Supervise all civil construction elements
- Maintain WH&S records ensuring the correct compliance and completion
- Manage works to project timeframes and specifications
- Enjoy traveling to remote areas within NSW
- Communicate / escalate any issues pertaining to health and safety to the appropriate Health, Safety & Environment Representative and your Regional Manager.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

- Experience within a project environment, within the telecommunications sector.
- Experience in base station deployment and commissioning.
- Experience in working with live networks and complex network arrangements is advantageous
- Flexible to travel in remote and regional areas to supervisor the construction activities
- Experience dealing with NSWTA agencies or local councils is highly regarded
- Relevant technical qualifications (ideally in construction or telecommunications) to a Diploma level (or similar)
- A Certificate IV in Health & Safety or other Health & Safety Manager or Supervisor qualifications is an advantage
- High Risk Licence is highly regarded (dogging (DG) and rigging (RB, RI, RA, EWP over 11m licenses)
- Working at Heights Training is an advantage
- A current driver’s license
- Relevant industry certifications.
- Current RF-EME Awareness training (from an approved training provider).
- Current construction inductions (White Card).
- Strong knowledge of EWP & Cranes, traffic management would be advantageous
- First Aid Certificate
