**ABOUT OUR CLIENT AND THE ROLE**
Our client is one of Melbourne's leading multi campus, co educational private schools. Due to a strong desire to continuously improve all aspects of itself, they now require an experienced Head of Human Resources.
You will be a key member of the Executive team, providing HR strategic and operational leadership, promote a culture retaining and developing exceptional staff and driving best practices in human resources.
**KEYS RESPONSIBILTIES**
- Provide high level strategic human resources advice and guidance to a range of internal clients;
- Drive strategy, provide specialist technical advice to inform decision makers and support leaders in the resolution of employment matters;
- Oversee exit interviews with departing staff, and reporting as required;
- Remain abreast of employment laws and Modern Awards to ensure compliance with employment conditions, policies and practices;
- Manage temporary and casual staff placements and arranging covers for short
- and long-term absences to fulfil the operational needs of the School;
- Coach and support leaders and managers to lead and manage their teams to drive high quality learning and to attract, retain and develop exceptional staff;
- Lead the Human Resources team;
**SKILLS & EXPERTISE**
- Possess the relevant tertiary qualifications with experience in human resources, psychology, industrial relations or employment law;
- Robust experience as a senior leader in human resources management;
- Demonstrated specialist knowledge and expertise in employment legislation
- Be able to coach and advise stakeholders through an approach of influence;
- Proven to be a trusted adviser with a reputation as a resilient, respected and highly collaborative leader;
- Are a consultative and collaborative advisor, who develops strategic relationship with ease to facilitate the delivery of people initiatives;
- Have a commitment to professional learning and continuous improvement;
- Be a resourceful team leader who can operate in a mentoring, collaborative, and inclusive manner;
- Are comfortable working with ambiguity, and in fast-paced, busy environment;
- Possess a current and valid Working with Children Check.
