Arboriculture Traineeship

**About AGA**:
AGA has more than 30 years’ experience in training people and placing them into employment, with a focus on apprenticeships and traineeships. AGA partners with the MAS National consortium to deliver Apprenticeship Network Provider services in Victoria.

**About the role**:
The role is **Monday - Friday **35 hours a week with a **start time of 7:00am **and a **finish time of 3:00pm.**

Our organisation is focused on providing support and mentoring to the successful trainee as well as providing on the job training for 12 Months. **About you**:

- Capable of working in physically demanding environments, involving climbing trees and lifting heavy equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols
- Love and interest for nature
- Strong work ethnic
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Willing to attend RTO/TAFE training
- Holds a drivers licence and vehicle

**What you will do**:

- Working in a variety of setting such as private and public gardens, parks and streetscapes
- Work at heights wearing specialist safety gear
- Duties involve maintaining tree health, removal or pruning of trees
- Trim and prune trees near power-lines
- Being very safety conscious - ensuring safe work practices at all times
