Significant investment across Western Health has seen the completion of the new Sunshine Adult and Paediatric Emergency Departments, Fast-Track Units, Rapid Assessment Discharge Unit, Short Stay Unit and the commencement of the Mental Health expansion project. The newly completed Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) HUB at Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department has resulted in brand new vacancies across all modalities and has seen the creation of Clinical Nurse Consultant - Alcohol and Other Drugs vacancy.

**The Position**

As the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Outreach Clinician your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the provision of short term care to low acuity Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug conditions across SHED and The MHAOD Hub
- AOD patient presentation management; screening, assessment, identification, planning and treatment
- Linking patients with appropriate community and/or hospital based addiction treatment services
- Operate within the Drug Health Services Addiction Medicine Consultation & Liaison program

**About You**

As an experienced AOD Outreach Clinician
- You will have a passion for providing safe and modern care to drug and alcohol clients
- Excellent clinical and case management/care coordination skills
- Certificate IV in AOD or willing to complete its core competencies
- Complex AOD, medical and mental health experience
- Sound knowledge in community based treatment options for patients presenting with AOD, mental health and medical complexity
