Library Bus Driver

**Salary**:$32.28 per hour plus 25% casual loading

Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our library team manages the community bus, which can be hired by community groups for day trips outside Sydney, or for local trips. The library also runs the Home Library Service, which delivers library items to homebound members on a regular schedule.

**Purpose**:
To safely and efficiently operate and maintain two Council vehicles in support of community and library services.

**About the role**:

- Drive the 23-seat Community Bus to transport community groups and council staff as required
- Operate the electric vehicle to deliver library materials for the Home Library Service according to set schedules
- Ensure the safety of all bus passengers and assist passengers to enter and exit bus as required.

**About you**:

- Good driving record
- Hold a current NSW Mid Rigid Drivers License
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability and willingness to assist passengers to use the service and assist passengers with their belongings such as wheelchairs.
