This position provides assistance and support to their Allied Health Department in the delivery of services to patients / clients, under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional.

The role involves assisting Allied Health Professionals in the treatment of patients, equipment cleaning / room tidying and departmental administrative responsibilities.

The Allied Health Assistant may be expected to work across sites and participate in weekend work.

Salary Level is dependent on qualifications:

- Level 1 - No Qualifications;
- Level 2 - Completion of 12 or more months’ service as an Allied Health Assistant Level 1 or Certificate III or other qualification deemed equivalent;
- Level 3 -Certificate IV qualification or other qualification deemed equivalent

Shellharbour Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is a busy acute care facility which provides emergency services, elective surgical services, general medicine, antenatal and primary family health care, satellite renal dialysis, and adolescent and adult mental health services on site.
