**About BaptistCare Dorthy Henderson Lodge**

The Lodge provides 66 single rooms for residents, and 14 secure rooms for those who need higher level of dementia support. All of our rooms have en-suites, large built-in wardrobes, and easy access to communal areas.

Enjoy the convenience of an on-site hairdresser, podiatrist, physiotherapist, social outings, a well-resourced library, church services and many other benefits. Blessed with spacious sitting areas and lush, well-kept gardens, you will find plenty of space to sit back and put your feet up. Or, if you prefer to get out and about for the day, we have a full calendar of activities for you to get involved with - it’s entirely up to you.

**About the role**

BaptistCare Dorothy Henderson Lodge is recruiting for permanent part time, dedicated Carers. As a Carer you'll to get to know your residents by supporting their choices, preferences and needs during your shifts.

**Duties may include**
- Assistance with a wide range of person centered care in accordance with care plans
- Assistance with medication
- Simple wound dressing
- Assistance with activities under supervision
- Working with each resident to continue to do the things they love

**Skills and Experience**
- You have obtained Certificate III in Individual Support (Essential)
- OR Currently completing a Bachelor of Nursing Degree
- A born listener, you’re genuinely caring to know and understand people
- Your care skills are driven by compassion, and your positive attitude is contagious
- You rally your team, even on challenging days to problem solve, connect and overcome

The shift times are **Thursday and Friday morning shift from 6am-1pm**.
This is in the **Dementia Support Unit** - so someone with **Dementia experience** would be preferred
