Our client is a long established Australian owned Drilling contractor servicing the exploration and mining industry with Air Core, Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling expertise.

About the Role

Our client are seeking experienced Drill Fitters to join their busy Perth workshop and Field Service team. This varied role provides a combination of both workshop and site work, allowing the successful incumbent to have a flexible roster in conjunction with the Maintenance Department requirements.

Drill Fitters will be required to provide routine/scheduled maintenance and breakdown works on drill rigs, trucks and support equipment both at mine / operational sites and the workshops.

Equipment maintained and serviced for this role include Atlas Copco Explorac E220 & E235, Schramm T685 Rigs, Mercedes Benz and MAN Trucks, Hurricane boosters, Atlas Copco auxiliary compressors and support equipment including Toyota light vehicles.

Skills and Experience

To meet the expectations and requirements, successful applicants must have the following (if already Australian based and with full emplyment rights). International applicants who will only be considered if no local hires are available, will be expected to have the minimum requirements of the 482 Visa, and then pass the additional criteria set out below (within 3 months of commencing employment) ;
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Earthmoving and Plant Equipment, or an International Equivalent and holding Vetassess / Cert III
- Minimum 5 years experience post trade qualification, at elast 3 of which should be in Exploration Drilling
- Exposure to relevant drill rigs and equipment to complete field service work
- Excellent mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical fault finding and diagnostics experience
- Hold a current HR Licence, First Aid Certificate, Working at Heights, Current National Police Clearance
- Flexible with working on site and in the workshop around business requirements
- Able to pass a comprehensive mine site medical
- Be physically fit to work in diverse weather conditions

**482 Visa (TSS) Sponsorship**

If you would like to be considered under a 482 Sponsorship you will require the following under Department of Home Affairs Immigration Requiments:
- Hold a Recognised International Trade Qualification in Mobile Plant Technology, Drilling, or Heavy Goods Vehicle / Truck Mechanics (Red Seal, City and Guilds, FETAC etc)
- Hold an IELTS English Test Certificate (5.0 Minimum in all 4 sections), or be a citizen of UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, or New Zealand
- Be able to move to Australia as soon as your Visa is granted (**preferred**)
