Implement, monitor ,measure & report on the HSE and Sustainability strategy for the Grid Edge Solutions business across Projects installation, Commissioning and Services ensuring compliance to regulatory standards, HE policies and guidelines. Ensure the success of the Safety Collaboration Center and completion of the training / certification requirements of individuals for the conduct of the Grid Edge Solutions Business. **Responsibilities**:

- Metrics: Reports HSE incidents & perform RCA into incidents and shares feedback on lessons learnt and best practices from own unit and across Hitachi Energy to management and employees. Reports progress on implementation of Hitachi Energy Group Sustainability objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) to Hitachi Energy Group, as required. Prepares and maintain reports and documentation concerning all aspects of the safety program assigned.
- Regulatory Compliance: Implements policies and standards. Ensures area of responsibility is audited according to program for audit. Assists line managers and supervisors in understanding obligations, liabilities and how to fulfil their roles, in accordance with local HSE law and Hitachi Energy Group policy, instructions and standards. Develop and maintain professional relationships with regulatory bodies, clients and contemporaries to foster the professional image of the organization.
- Risk Assessments & Management: Facilitates HSE risks assessment by line management involving employees, i.e. those directly concerned by the hazards, and ensures all processes are implemented. Ensure Activity Base Risk Assessments (ABRA) are deployed within the organizations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drives behavioural change through implementing Group-wide performance improvement programs and practices locally to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the respective organization.
- Communications & Engagement: Engages external (e.g. customers, suppliers and other stakeholders) and internal stakeholders in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment on HE's HSE efforts and performance and obtain objective feedback. Cooperates with other functions, the CoE and business partners to drive HSE performance.
- Operational Support: Ensures appropriate safety equipment and tools are available and used. Identifies, plans and initiates training need, e.g. for employees, site managers, and agree with, and ensures delivery of training. Drives and ensures compliance with Group management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001). Analyse safety problems and recommend solutions to appropriate line manager, operations leaders and conduct investigations of incidents to identify root causes and lessons learned. Performs periodic audits to check the compliance of activities with requirements, procedures and directives. Prepares non-conformity reports and investigates their resolution
- Project Support: Prepares, contributes to and/or plans and executes project HSE plans, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility (CR) related projects, through the full project lifecycle from tendering to execution. Supports project managers proving HSE advice, guidance and acting as the interface on HSE matters between client and contractors. Develops and reports on project objectives. Manages project resources such as manpower, financials, and other relevant factors on the EHS aspects of the projects. Reviews ITPs (Inspection and test plans) to ensure that they are compliant from an EHS perspective and provides support in terms of providing MSDS etc to assist the project installation and commissioning activities.
- Trainings, Audits and SCC Compliance: Ensure the completion of all of the training requirements of the folks conducting the business for Grid Edge Solutions on time. Conduct refreshers training courses on EHS periodically as needed. Conduct EHS Audits of sites and identify hazards and unsafe practices and ensure that these are addressed according to the HE and regulatory standards. Ensure the success and compliance to the Safety Collaboration Center metrics.

Your background
- Engineering/Trade qualifications - Graduate Degree or Diploma holder, > 12 years experience in Electrification, Powe
