As an Audit and Assurance Advisor you will be responsible for planning and conducting second line of defence assurance activities (performance reviews, audits, and health checks) across the Major Projects portfolio.
- Be accountable for the planning, delivery and reporting of second line assurance activities in alignment with the Major Projects Assurance Framework, across all major project disciplines within the major projects portfolio.
- Support the Major Projects requirements for ‘health check’, and ‘deep dive’ assurance activities associated with major project delivery.
- Effectively engage with key project, portfolio, stakeholders and the wider business to develop insights and/or communicate outcomes of assurance activities.
- Ensure management actions identified are appropriately tracked and closed out in alignment with agreed timeframes.

**The community you will join**:
Based in Bowen Hills, reporting into the Assurance, Governance and Risk Manager, this position will also play a key role in identifying improvement opportunities that can be adopted and implemented by the project teams to enhance the effective delivery of major projects within Powerlink.

Our Major Projects Office exists to manage the governance and controls that underpin the lifecycle of our large-scale projects - establishing our strategic aspiration to become a major developer that safely delivers complex and significant CAPEX projects over the next decade.

**Your expertise**:

- Degree qualifications in business, project management, engineering or related field or lower level qualification in a relevant discipline if coupled with significant experience within a project delivery environment
- Qualifications as an auditor or lead auditor

**We’d also love you to have**:

- Demonstrated experience in the planning and delivery of second line assurance activities in large scale infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated ability to support the preparation, and collation of information and holding to account key stakeholders to ensure that activities, plans and responses meet the immediate and long-term objectives of the business and division.
- Working knowledge of complex infrastructure projects with specific experience in the development and implementation of assurance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate learning workshops.
- Skilled in the use of proprietary software systems used in project audits and assurance activities.
