**About the opportunity**:
WesCEF have a responsibility to current and future generations to minimize our impact on the environment and tackle climate change. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our growing Climate Opportunities team.

Reporting to the Climate Opportunities Manager you will join a small, future focused team of specialists and be responsible for providing analyst support for prospective projects and business investments through:

- Investment analysis - develop integrated financial and emissions models to assess opportunities, understand competing alternatives and ensure alignment to the business’ net zero 2050 aspirations.
- Research - scientific grounding of opportunities through challenging and validating information.

To be successful in this role you will be hands on in your approach and enjoy engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will work closely with our Business Units to understand capabilities, challenges and opportunities to reduce emissions across the businesses and combine the results of the above research and analysis in to insights, briefing notes and reports to underpin informed decision making by our business leaders up to the Board level.
- Who are our businesses?_

Our team support a range of leaders and teams across WesCEF including those in the Shared Services functions based in Murdoch, and also a diverse group of mature and stable businesses including _CSBP Ammonia Ammonium Nitrate, Australian Gold Reagents (AGR), CSBP Fertilisers, Kleenheat_ and _EVOL LNG with_ production and distribution facilities in Kwinana, the Northern Territory, and regional locations in Western Australia.

Your role will also include:

- Using and developing models to facilitate financial planning and evaluation.
- Analysing data related to project economics (production, market costing etc.).
- Undertaking peer reviews and providing constructive feedback on project deliverables.
- Forecasting project performance using financial models.
- Participating in external meetings with business, government and industry, monitoring industry news and attending industry seminars.
- Stakeholder engagement across WesCEF businesses to aid them in reduction of emissions.

**About you**:
This position is both external and internal customer facing and offers broad exposure to a depth and breadth of knowledge in the climate opportunities space.

You will have a Bachelor of Science, Commerce or Engineering (Chemistry, Biology, Environmental or associated).Ideally your career also includes commercial and or operational experience. In addition you possess:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including preparation and presentation of concise and compelling arguments.
- High level analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage competing demands and meet challenging deadlines.
- An understanding of modelling, valuation and risk analysis and translation of these analyses into written business cases.
- Direct experience in commercial project evaluation will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- A passion for building effective rapport with various stakeholders with the ability to understand their operational and strategic requirements.
- A 'can do' attitude, self-directed and results orientated.
- Be willing to travel between Murdoch (head office) and Kwinana (production, distribution facilities) as required.
