**Role Overview**

As the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the procurement function, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services. You will develop and implement procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing, storage, and distribution strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Monitor and review inventory systems to ensure supply requirements are met and stock levels are maintained at optimal costs.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, prioritising quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Oversee and refine systems for tracking the movement of supplies and finished goods, ensuring timely reordering and restocking.
- Liaise with internal departments and external customers to coordinate requirements for goods and associated logistics.
- Direct and monitor team performance, ensuring activities are aligned with operational objectives and providing ongoing training and support.
- Prepare, implement, and evaluate plans to optimise procurement operations while adhering to relevant regulations and policies.
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of procurement, storage, and distribution transactions. Identify and implement improvements to meet customer or client requirements effectively.
- Committed to workplace health and safety, including adherence to WHS regulations, participation in safety training, and promotion of a safe environment.

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**
- A bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role, in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost optimisation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPSM).
- Familiarity with Australian procurement laws and standards.

**Schedule**: Fixed shift 8 hours
