**About the job**
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Field Technician** to join our team, with a focus on Saturdays (availability on Fridays for pre-checks is preferred, but not essential). This is a great opportunity for students or anyone looking for flexible part-time work in a dynamic environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist with the assembly, integration, adjustment, repair, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems.
- Support the integration, installation, calibration, and testing of racetrack equipment (GPS, timing, and weather systems).
- Test hardware for tracking and timing on-site before and during race days.
- Meet deadlines to ensure timely delivery for internal and external customers.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest infrastructure technologies and trends in the industry.
- Take full ownership of your tasks, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Ensure systems are running optimally and provide support as needed.
- Perform general hardware replacement, cloning, and fault-finding.
- Focus on scaling and driving innovation within our racing technology platforms.
- Contribute to the business's long-term objectives by suggesting technical strategies that introduce innovation through technology.
- Assist with creating and maintaining documentation for network inventory, training, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Adhere to safety practices and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
**Requirements**:
- Availability on Saturdays (Fridays preferred for pre-race checks).
- Workplace: Royal Randwick & Rosehill Garden
- Strong interest in technology and electromechanical systems.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
- Technically inclined individuals, such as engineering students or those studying related fields.
- Interest in motorsports or racetrack technology is a plus but not required.
- Valid Working on Hight Certificate is a plus but not required.

Pay: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 - 9 per week
