La Belle Miette, Melbourne’s macaron specialist patisserie, is seeking a passionate Retail Sales Manager to work in our beautiful Canberra kiosk (on Level 1 of Canberra Centre). The position is casual/part-time and would ideally include 3-4 weekdays, plus one weekend shift (i.e. between 22-26 hours per week). Please note the advertised rates are the Casual standard hourly weekday rate.

We specialise in small delights. As Retail Manager, you help create the beautiful experience of visiting our patisseries, providing exceptional customer service to ensure needs are met and expectations exceeded. You should be excited to learn about the ingredients, techniques and flavours so that you can speak knowledgeably with customers who may be making small over the counter purchases or seeking your advice for wedding and event favours and catering. You should oversee store operations to ensure its smooth functioning and support and build the team's strengths.

**Key Qualifications**
- Management/leadership experience, preferred but not essential
- A passion for exceptional customer service and the ability to inspire and lead the team to deliver this experience.
- Excellent communication skills that let you converse as freely and comfortably with staff, small groups and individual customers.
- Impeccable personal presentation
- Attention to detail, cleanliness and a visual eye
- High initiative/proactivity, ability to work independently

**A little about La Belle Miette**

La Belle Miette (meaning the “beautiful crumb” or “beautiful small thing”) is a passion for macarons and French taste more generally. We specialise in small delights - macarons, chocolate bonbons, dragées and the largest range in Australia of tea from Mariage Frères, the leading tea house of Paris. The detail and attention inherent in our products is congruent with a range of elements that the company strives to deliver in all areas of the customer experience.

Founders Maylynn and Hugh lead a devoted team in continuing to grow, develop and evolve the company. La Belle Miette has several stores in Melbourne and in Sydney, with one store in Canberra.

This role is to work in our Canberra Centre location. The head office, kitchen and direct manufactory store is located in Melbourne and we also have retail sites at Collins Street Melbourne, Chadstone, and QVB in Sydney.
