A well-established Australian-owned and operated metal forming business with a well-equipped workshop in Minto currently has an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join their team.

This is an opportunity for a 3rd or 4th Year Fitter Machinist Apprentice, who has a genuine interest and love of metalwork to continue learning on the factory floor and build a long-term career.

This company uses the latest technology to produce high quality metal products and components for a range of clients.

The factory is equipped with a complete range of CNC machinery and equipment for spinning, laser cutting, folding, punching, turning, pressing and finishing metal.

**Responsibilities**
- Operating metal working machinery
- Using welding equipment
- Assisting with general workshop duties
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well organised workshop
- Maintaining WHS procedures

**Skills and attributes**
- Mechanical aptitude
- Confidence in using tools
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Practical hands-on approach to learning
- Keenness to learn the manufacturing processes
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail
- Honesty and reliability

**Qualification requirements**
- Minimum 2 years of Fitter Machinist Trade Apprenticeship or demonstrable similar on-the-job experience
