About the Team
The Transport Communications and Experience Group provides leadership, advice and delivery of Strategic Communications & Engagement through partnering business operations and providing channel expertise in order to deliver the Department's strategic priorities.
About the Opportunity
The Communication and Engagement Advisor sits within the Operations branch of Transport Communications and Experience. The team works to give community and stakeholders a voice in project planning and delivery, ensuring Department decisions reflect community needs, and developing communications materials that inform communities and stakeholders about the benefits of projects which impact them. The Communication and Engagement Advisor works in partnership with Transport Services to develop and deliver communications and engagement for infrastructure projects and network operations across Victoria.
About You
Previous experience in partnering with the customer or community in developing successful strategies, programs or products; Supporting the design process by explaining what needs to be done and ensuring people have the necessary information to engage in the process and work effectively; Understanding of the stages of co-design.Ability to seek resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines and seek guidance by providing information and ideas relevant towards resolution of problem. Understanding of concepts enabling improvements in critical thinking and problem solving.Communication skills to prepare and deliver logical sequential and succinct presentations; You can use clear and concise language and utilizes media appropriate to the audience and presents information to develop the understanding of the topic.Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues, managers and key stakeholders.
