As Subcontracts Manager, you will be the **key point of leadership for subcontractor performance** across the AIR5428 program. You'll drive outcomes across cost, quality, schedule, and technical performance while managing cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and quality.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Manage supply chain relationships and subcontracts across the program, including facilitating integrated teams collaboration, proactively solving issues, managing subcontract change, defining requirements, managing obligations, maintaining records and negotiating new agreements
- Provide thought leadership into strategic supplier relationships and approach to teaming
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the resolution of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs)
- Support business development and proposal activities through the preparation of subcontract inputs and business case contributions
- Provide leadership in subcontractor selection, evaluation, and risk management ensuring adherence to company policies and industry best practices
- Promote and uphold company values, safety standards, and quality management systems in all subcontract-related activities

**About you**:

- Significant experience in procurement, supply chain and contracts management, within a complex program environment, preferably within Defence
- Ability to negotiate and resolve complex issues to achieve commercially sound outcomes
- Demonstrated experience engaging with diverse range of stakeholders including engineering, commercial, finance, quality, engineering and logistics
- Familiarity with key standards, including AS4360 (Risk Management), ISO9001 (Quality Systems), and AS4817 (Earned Value Management), preferably within a Aerospace context
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver outcomes within scope, timeframes, and budget in complex program environments

**Special Requirements**:
**_The position is based in East Sale, we would also consider drive in drive out (DIDO) options from Melbourne & outer suburbs._
