**About you

As a member of the Events Team in the Activation branch, you will play an important operational role in the delivery of functions and events at the State Library.

A key focus of this position will be to provide exceptional customer service in the delivery of a wide range of event services.

What you will do

Your key responsibilities will be:
Supporting the delivery of functions and events through the set up and pack down of meeting room furniture, basic audio-visual systems, stationery and food/beverage stations.
Coordination of event staff including contractors, venue technicians and security suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality events.
Conducting regular venue maintenance, upkeep and presentation. This includes end of event, security and incident reporting as well as liaising with State Library Facilities and Technical Production teams to report onsite issues for action.
Acting as client liaison on event day to meet and greet external event managers, artists and promoters as well as supporting the coordination of associated event staff including food and beverage contractors, venue technicians, security suppliers and external deliveries.
Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by ensuring conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical.
