**Join our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Team as a Senior / Visiting Medical Specialist**

Specialist Plastic Surgeons work within SALHN, assisted by procedural doctors specialising in skin cancer assessment and excisions. There are specialist nurses for wound care, breast reconstruction and hand surgery.

**About the role**:
Reporting to the head of Unit in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, this role is responsible for the provision of specialised care in consulting and emergency clinics, operative surgery, and hospitalised patients. Duties for the role will include:

- Working harmoniously with all members of the clinical team,
- Provide a high quality clinical service and clinical leadership,
- Continuously reviewing existing practices and promoting change where required,
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.

**About you**:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award,
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery,
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally with a wide range of people including colleagues and other professional staff,
- Experience to include clinical work in the specialty, teaching and research,
- Hands plastics experience.
