Disability Support Worker
**Brief about the role**:
9D Care have Disability Support Workers that assist individuals that need support by appropriately qualified and experienced people. We look for people who can offer a wide range of support and assistance to people. We are looking for people who can provide emotional and practical support to people drawing on their life experiences to build rapport and friendship. Your contribution will enable our clients to live independently and comfortably in their own homes.
People performing this role at 9D Care provide supports such as:
- Assistance with daily tasks: Showering, Dressing, Personal Hygiene Activities, Eating and Drinking, Getting in and out of bed.
- More experienced employees may also provide complex High Intensity Daily Assistance
- Social and Community Participation: Assisting individuals to engage in social and community activities, supporting an individual to go on an outing or a holiday, go to the library, go see a movie or a concert, go to community events, attend personal development courses, join a social group attend a sporting activity etc.

- Household Tasks: Meal Preparation, Household Cleaning and Laundry, Gardening, Home & Yard Maintenance.
**Job Requirements**:
Qualification in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Mental Health, Community Services or equivalent
- Valid and current working with children check (when required)
- A current National Police Check Clearance
- Able to pass worker screening requirements
- Have working rights
- Open Victorian Driver Licence
- Your own reliable comprehensively insured vehicle (desired)
- Physically capable of meeting the requirements of the role
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- A Smartphone with internet access
- Knowing a language apart from English will be an advantage but not necessary for the role.
