Safety Officer

Springbok Foods is a national wholesale distributor and retailer of the largest range of South
African groceries and food products in Australia.

The roles responsibilities include (but are not limited to ):

- Daily safety and maintenance inspections to ensure equipment, materials &
machinery are in working order
- Maintaining a high standard of Workplace health and Safety guidelines and
practices.
- Maintain daily cleaning schedule to ensure safety of all machinery
- Inspection of completed work for compliance to specifications and safety standards
- Ensure high level of OH&S is maintained to ensure that no accidents can occur.
- Ensure all staff members are observing OH&S to ensure there is no risk of accidents
- Training staff on all OH&S issues and practices on how to avoid safety incidents
- Investigation of any incidents of non-compliance with occupational health & safety.
- Ensure that no employee is permitted to work under conditions where precautionary
measures have not been taken.
- Ensure the supply and maintenance of all occupational health and safety equipment

About you:

- Safety qualifications such as Diploma in Work Health and Safety
- At least three years prior safety inspector experience will be highly regarded
- Management and leadership skills to achieve continuous improvement.
- Ability to work co-operatively and effectively within the team and the organisation.
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Persuasion and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy in excel, word and outlook
- Strong customer service focus
- Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill
- Excellent attention to detail.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:
