**The Opportunity**

UGL Utilities is seeking expressions of interest from an experienced Community and Social Legacy Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This role will be office based but require frequent site visits.

In this key role, you are responsible for ensuring the project delivers a meaningful and lasting social legacy by addressing community needs, promoting sustainability, and driving initiatives that benefit local businesses, Indigenous groups, and regional communities.

**What will a day in this role look like**:
- Develop, implement, and lead community engagement strategies to foster trust, collaboration, and proactive communication with stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Strategically design and implement initiatives that create lasting social benefits for the local community, such as education, employment, and training programs.
- Collaborate with Indigenous communities to ensure cultural heritage and inclusion are prioritized and integrated into project activities.
- Build strong relationships with local councils, government authorities, Indigenous groups, environmental organizations, and other key stakeholders.

**What are we looking for you to bring to the team**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Sustainability, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in community engagement, stakeholder management, or social responsibility programs.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver community-centered initiatives that create long-term social value.
- Knowledge of Victorian regional communities, including challenges and opportunities they face.
- Experience working with Indigenous groups and facilitating culturally inclusive practices.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
