**The opportunity**

As a valued member of the Financial Services team, we’re seeking a Revenue Officer to support the maintenance of rating and debtor systems and ensure the accurate and timely issue and recovery of Council rates, charges, fees and sundry debts. This role plays an important part in delivering high-quality service in a busy call centre-style environment and works closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide sound advice and effective debt recovery support.
- This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity - working 35 hours per week with access to a flexible working arrangement
- Base Salary Range: $68,617 - $77,879 pa based on 35 hours per week + 12% superannuation
- You will be working from our Administration Building in Raymond Terrace

- Respond to high-volume customer enquiries regarding levies, concessions, payments and billing
- Issue rating certificates, invoice sundry debtor accounts and undertake cyclical debt collection processes including outbound debt recovery phone calls

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and relevant experience
- Demonstrated understanding of local government rating and debt collection processes
- Strong ability to manage a busy workload with mínimal supervision
- Proficient in Civica Authority rating and debtor modules, and MS Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with customers and stakeholders
