UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business have experience growth are looking for Mechanical Fitters to join our Locomotive New Build team based at our facility in Broadmeadow Newcastle.
These roles will be offered on a permanent full-time basis, they will be working day shift on a 9-day fortnight Monday - Thursday 5.30am - 2.30pm, every second Friday off and the Friday you do work is 5.30am - 1.30pm.
**About the role**
- Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on a Locomotive new build line conducting rail equipment component installation and general maintenance as well as servicing and general workshop duties as required.

**About You**
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency - Mechanical
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable & punctual.
- General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not a necessity.
- Commitment to a safe work environment and practices.
- Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings.
- Work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Focused on quality work & customer service excellence.
- Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity.
- Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity.
