**The company**:
Our client is a global service provider with a dedicated team who work to service customers across a broad range of industry sectors including mining, resources and construction. Due to recent growth, they are currently looking to appoint a talented Procurement Specialist to be based in their Head Office based on the Southside of Brisbane. This role has flexible working arrangements to work from home at times also and would best suit someone coming from a procurement or category specialist background.

**The role**:
This is a key role to lead strategic procurement and category management activities across your assigned categories. Responsibilities will include:

- Strategic sourcing for your assigned categories including building and managing a sourcing plan and strategy
- Tender management including preparation and review
- Contract management including performance management and review
- Supplier management including negotiation and relationship management with key suppliers and implement strategic initiatives where possible
- Manage the spend of your assigned categories including analysis
- Interpretation and presentation of analysis and insights to a range of stakeholders including operations, customers and senior management

**About You**:
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

- Relevant qualifications or experience in procurement, category management, contract management or alike
- Experience in sourcing, managing contracts and involvement in tender management
- Experience with procurement systems and processes and best practice procurement methodologies
- A strategic mindset with the ability to think laterally
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence across a variety of stakeholders at the senior level
- Strong commercial acumen and business skills
