- Clerk Grade 7/8, Salary ($99,431 - $110,064 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
**Your role**
Forming part of a small, supportive HR team servicing Corrective Services in the Northern Region of NSW, you will partner with the business (which encompasses Custodial Corrections, Industries as well as Services and Programs) and other areas within Human Resources to deliver best practice services and advice in the relevant area within HR or a range of areas, such as recruitment, legislation, change management, job design, learning and development, WH&S, workforce planning, establishment management, performance, employee relations, industrial relations and talent management to support the business in achieving their objectives and deliver on major reform and strategic priorities.
As a HR Advisor - Business Partnering, your role is to partner with managers at all levels to deliver best practice HR advice and consultancy services to support our People Branch achieve its objectives.
**What you’ll do**
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide timely and accurate advice and services across the people and culture remit to ensure productive workforce solutions.
- Undertake research and analysis workforce trends and make recommendations to inform people and culture service delivery.
- Coach and advise stakeholders on a range of HR solutions to support business strategies, plans and priorities.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in HR service delivery, including assessing and updating HR methods, procedures and processes, to deliver consistent quality outcomes that reflect innovative and appropriate HR service standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to provide to support business outcomes and facilitate a positive work environment.
You’ll work as part of a dedicated team of HR Professionals, based predominately at the Cessnock Correctional Centre, with some travel expected to other facilities from time to time. DCJ supports a flexible, hybrid working environment for our team, and we’re open to discussing an arrangement that works for both of us

In addition to this you’ll model collaborative ways of working and sharing information with the team, broader HR partners and managers and identify opportunities to leverage strength of others to solve workplace issues.
You’re a critical thinker, able to research, analyse, identify, and develop evidence-based ideas and solutions to maximise outcomes.
You’ll bring a positive, proactive, and flexible approach to solving problems and creating goals amidst changing priorities.
You’ll use your knowledge of workforce management systems and data analysis to support evidence-based decision making.

- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development
- Valid Driver’s Licence and travel may be required
