Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in the diverse tasks assigned to you, which include: - Repairs to a range of different types of pumps, electric motors, and associated equipment - Assembly of pump and motors with different types of transmissions on base plates and skids; - Fabricate metal baseplates and control stands - cutting, welding, grinding, machining; - Assembling/fabricating metal and plastic pipework, valves -some welding; - Assemble pumping stations, including working in confined spaces, and fibreglass work; - Assist with manufacturing electrical control panels, installing wiring between controllers, electric motors, switchgear, troubleshooting controllers, etc.; - Assist with taking deliveries, load trucks, picking and packing orders, and making up timber pallets, and skids; - Keep the workshop and warehouse clean and tidy; - From time to time, you may be required to assist with site work - pump repairs, troubleshooting, installations of pumps and the like; - Assist with site deliveries. YOUR PROFILE You have gained at least five years of experience servicing pumps, pumping systems, and pump controllers. It is not essential, but it will be advantageous if you hold a current LF ticket, a Confined Space Certificate, Fitter Trade Certificate, or Millwright Trade Certificate. Your knowledge and experience include the following: - Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and re-assembling a range of different types of pumps and associated mechanical equipment; - Fabricating steel baseplates, measuring, mounting motors and pumps onto base plates, coupling alignment; - Spray paint baseplates, pumps, and motors; - Measuring, cutting, and joining PVC pipework. Experience with HDPE pipework is an advantage; - Assembling valves, pipe fittings, and manifolds; - Installing guide rail systems, pipework, valves to reinforced fibreglass pumpwells, and fibreglass modifications; - Safe operation of a forklift in a high-risk warehouse environment, 9.0-metre pallet racking (Ride and Reach preferred), unloading shipping containers using a short mast forklift; - Intermediate computer operations, including Word, Outlook, Freight company software, and Inventory management systems; - "Hands-on" and not afraid of hard work in a fast-paced environment; - Working in a warehouse environment with high standards of housekeeping and safety. You will be able to demonstrate the following: - Good communication skills and a mature customer-centric approach; - Flexibility; - Excellent time management and organisational skills to work efficiently and meet deadlines; - Punctuality and reliability; - Ability to work independently and in a team; - High safety-conscious work ethic; - Excellent manual handling techniques; - Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
