The position of Operations All Rounder, reports to the Business Operations Manager and requires a high degree of compassion, professionalism, integrity and outstanding customer service. Passing Paws understands that pets are family members and losing a pet can be very distressing for families and so it is our job to ease the families pain with an exceptional service at an affordable price.

This role of Operations All Rounder involves being flexible to work between all divisions of the business at any time. This may include annual leave cover, sick leave cover and varying shifts to cover the needs of the business.

**Key Duties**:
Being an Operations All Rounder with Passing Paws your role will include, but not limited to:

- Drive to and from multiple Vet clinics daily to achieve your workload requirement
- Collection of families beloved pets from homes and Vet clinics upon request
- Return of cremated remains back to the home or vet clinic for the families we serve.
- Customer liaison with Vet Clinics including checking stock of brochures, tags and other items.
- Manually lift pets (sometimes unsupported) in safe, dignified and respectable ways.
- Assisting families with their grief through amazing customer service and support.
- Ensure that your van is clean, stocked, maintained and fit for purpose and advising when servicing and car maintenance is required.
- To carry out warehouse duties as required.
- Research, develop and implement the most effective transport routes when collecting pets.
- Check Cremation packages to ensure that all details including spelling and contents are correct.
- Basic data entry into an easy-to-use software.
- Working under guidance and within the Production In division including carrying pets to the check in locations, identification of Pets and assistance with check in’s.
- Working under guidance and within the Production Out division including building memorabilia and engraving duties.
- Preparation of Ashes to the owners making sure that all details and content are correct
- Ensuring workstations and family areas are kept clean and tidy.
- To carry out all duties in line with all Passing Paws policies and procedures.

Any other associated admin duties as requested from the Operations Manager and the General Manager.

- Demonstrated honest, reliable, ethical, caring, and professional manner.
- Previous customer service experience with exceptional telephone manner and etiquette.
- High attention to detail.
- Genuine respect for deceased pets and their family’s needs.
- Empathy and compassion to animal welfare.
- An ability to handle deceased pets in a professional manner.
- Physically fit and able to lift deceased pets with correct safe lifting and handling techniques.
- Proven understanding of and commitment to OHS practices which ensure a safe and healthy working environment for staff and the public.
- Well-developed interpersonal and written skills with the ability to communicate with a culturally diverse range of people.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise work, use initiative and work with mínimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn and take on coaching and feedback openly.
- You are resilient and can demonstrate this through managing complex situations.
- Valid “C” Class drivers’ licence.
- “LR” class licence favourable, but not necessary.
